Morning and afternoon clubs
The educational services’ aim is that morning and afternoon clubs are offered at each primary school.
Application and termination

The following children are primarily awarded club places:
- first graders
- pupils with extended compulsory education
- third to sixth graders who require special support.
The following children are secondarily awarded club places:
- second graders.
The notice for termination had to be submitted during the calendar month before termination. The contract is then terminated at the end of the following calendar month.
Operational principles
Participation in the clubs is subject to charge. The fee covers structured activities, a snack and insurance.
Morning and afternoon clubs
The educational services’ aim is that morning and afternoon clubs are available at each primary school.
The application time for the morning and afternoon clubs was April 3rd–22nd 2018. The Committee of Education decides annually after the application time has run out as regarding whether the clubs are held. The decision depends on the number of children who have been enrolled.

The City of Loviisa offers morning and afternoon activities of the basic education to first and second graders as well as 3rd–6th graders who have been transferred to special support.
Places are allotted according to the order below
- first graders
- pupils transferred to lengthened compulsory education
- pupils in grades 2–6 who have been transferred to special support
- second graders.
Pupils in the own school and those who have applied for a place within the application time take precedence.

Operational principles
The activities are subject to charge and include organized activities, snack and insurance.
- The monthly fee for morning activities is 50 euros from 7 am to the beginning of the school day.
- The monthly fee for afternoon activities until 4 pm is 70 euros.
- The monthly fee for afternoon activities until 5 pm is 80 euros.
- For August and January the half sum is invoiced, i.e. 25 euros, 35 euros or 40 euros.
The monthly fee is invoiced afterwards. The invoices for August and September as well as the invoices for January and February are combined to one invoice.
According to the administrative regulation of the City of Loviisa, the committee of upbringing and education approves the annual plan for morning and afternoon activities for schoolchildren and decides on the ground for selection and payment as regarding the morning and afternoon activities for schoolchildren.
NB! The activities can also be organized together with other service suppliers, for instance the parish.
The Chief of Education decides on the activity locations after the enrolment period has ended. The decision is sent by Wilma to the guardians in June. The decision depends on how many children have been enrolled. During the enrolment period a minimum of 7 children have to register in order to have a group of their own started.
The Chief of Educational Services is in charge of operations. The coordinator is in charge of the practical arrangements and the principals are the immediate superiors of the personnel.
